Fresh figs, although very sweet, contain only 11-12% of easily assimilable sugars, for a total of just 47 kcal/100gr: much less than the tangerines and grapes, which contain 70/100 gr.
Figs contain good quantities of minerals such as potassium, calcium, and iron, while vitamins are
scarce.
Great ally against coughs
Figs have always been known for their expectorant and emollient properties. They help to fight coughs and is realy helpful against asthma attacks.
